The problem

When we were building Vivid Invest, we got to a point where we had some basic features done. We then faced a big question: what should we do next?

Understanding What Users Want

We decided to find out what our users really needed by asking them directly. From this research, we discovered that a lot of our users wanted something called stop orders. They told us it would make them feel more secure if they knew their investments would automatically be sold or bought when prices reached a certain level, especially if they couldn’t check the markets themselves.

Making a Decision

With this feedback, we decided it was important to add this feature. It seemed like a good way to make our users feel more at ease with their investments.

Checking Out the Competition

We also looked at what other companies were doing to see if there was a common way of handling this feature.

Getting the Design Right

After trying out a few different designs and getting more feedback, we finally settled on the best one.
